This place is a great find. We were working in the area for a couple of weeks and had not found much to brag about in the way of dining, until we came across Mickey’s. It out go to now. The food is excellent and you can’t beat the atmosphere. The bar and restaurant is raised on stilts and the view is great. Even when the day has been scorching it gets a nice breeze because they open the garage door walls.
I have not had a bad thing off the menu. Burgers are top notch and the south of the border burger is a two hander that tastes great and drips with goodness.
Brought in fresh red drum and they made it blackened and grilled. It wad truely the BEST fish I've eaten. Jalapeno creamed corn was great too. The oyster poboy wad incredible also. That asking with friendly staff made a great few days of fishing.
We dined here about a week ago with a party of 10. The server was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We had a view of the marina and were able to watch the sunset. It was very relaxing. I ordered the grilled flounder, was disappointed that the green beans were sold out and had the onion rings (there were no other green veggie options to pick from). It took just a little while to get our food (maybe because of our number) but the wait was worth it. This was some of the best grilled fish that I had eaten. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The bed of rice was perfectly seasoned as well. The onion rings were good, but just didn't seem to go with the fish. I would have preferred a grilled/steamed veggie blend or something like that. I did walk away full and satisfied. The menu included lots of choices at different price points, which was good for our group which included high school students. I would highly recommend this place for casual dining or a date night.
My wife and I found this place by accident. We we're out looking for a place to eat and saw their sign and decided to check it out. Food was good and had great service. We really enjoyed the table we had overlooking the piers. The area was all open and we had a nice breeze blowing through. We really enjoyed our time there.
