I know that there was a hurricane here over a month ago but this place is disgusting and it has nothing to do with the storm. Mold all over the bathroom. Walls had florescent paint all over them, all of the furniture was beat up and a mess, and the room stunk. I called the front desk and was told there were no more rooms and there was nothing they could do. Another guest said his room was the same. I've stayed in worse but they were less than half the price. I'm going to complain to Wyndham as well. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here!
The hotel stay was great. Would have given it 5 stars but the eggs in the hot breakfast was so gross I couldn't even swallow them. But other than that it was a great stay. I will stay again when I come back down
Rooms were clean and the free breakfast was nice..tho you can tell it's still under repairs.
We stayed here with several students for the FFA convention. The front staff was very courteous and helpful upon check-in. Rooms are a bit small and dated. It would be a great idea to remove the large mirrors along the wall behind the beds. Although needing some upgrading, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The beds were also about average, and I slept fine each night. The housekeeping did a great job each day to make beds and re-stock towels, etc. The breakfast consisted of Texas-shaped waffles, sausage links, gravy, biscuits, fruit, bagles, toast, and eggs (likely powdered). I was pleased with how well it was re-stocked and maintained each day. The pool area was nice and had some neat mood lighting at night. The only real negative issue was that the room/outside doors would not shut all the way. I had to make sure to pull it all the way to each time we left. I found the outside door open lots of times when we returned. This needs to be addressed by the management. Another slight inconvenience was that the only ice machine was out of order and you had to get ice at the office. When I asked, someone had gone to the store to get more ice. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, but our $149 rate was a bit high for what you got. This quality of hotel should only be no more than $100 per night.
Overall, great for an overnight or weekend stay. Room was clean and cooled down. The standard rooms are a bit cramped, but not an issue for solo travelers or just staying a couple nights. The free breakfast had hot and cold options. I wish the coffee cups were bigger.
